Reposting as to why I love furniture.
OSTK is a (after today's drip) decently undervalued furniture company, yes discretionary spending is negatively impacted by inflation. As a company they have good FCF and have nearly 25% of their market cap in free cash which is nice. Due to their business model of selling liquidated furniture from many different suppliers they essentially have a drop shipping model, this allowed them to carve market share bigly over covid as they did not experience supply chain disruption. This is what I have to say about the furniture company.
Yet more, The previous CEO of the company was quite the wildcard. Medici Ventures is a venture capital fund that was created under him, OSTK owns 99% of Medici Ventures. Medici Ventures has many projects under it but the main one of note is Tzero, a new age exchange for ALL equities. Tzero also happens to be the ONLY crypto exchange approved by the SEC. Recently they got David Goone to walk away from his 5m/yr CSO job at ICE (the company that made the NYSE) to become the CEO of Tzero, his pay is primarily stock based compensation in Tzero. David also convinced his previous company ICE to buy in to Tzero. Then there is Bitglobal which has a deal with the Nigerian Central Bank to make a CBDC, Bitglobal would get a commission on every transaction with the CBDC. These companies (and more not mentioned) are factored in to a wopping 0% of OSTK's price. So you get an undervalued furniture company, that yes has the headwinds of inflation, but you also get some very interesting projects alongside it for free.
I am extremely biased, OSTK is over 40% of my portfolio with an average of $42. I will average down if she (and I hope she does) dips below $42
Stocks will keep going down at least until they start going up again. We will know for sure when that happens because price changes will switch from a downward direction to an upward direction. One of the indicators that we can use to determine the timing of this change is that we will start to see stock prices rising instead of falling. That will definitely tell us when the direction of stocks has changed from moving down to moving up.

My work schedule killed streaming, but I do still have time very late at night. I just didn't think anyone would be awake when I did. as i said in a previous thread seems like a good price if it was the kind of trade i was looking for (crypto exposure with potential for catalysts but no hard catalyst.) Though i will caution that t0 performance is only really going to affect p/b of OSTK since they dont own all of it and some of it is traded on t0 itself.

That has already been confirmed and also priced in, thought.
I think non of those is likely to happen. Sanctions will keep happening and oil producers are already burn. They are not investing anymore, just securing enough to pay expenses. The only winning scenario will be ending the war, but even if that happens it will still take some time for the economy to heal.

They don't own all of it, but they do own the VAST majority either directly through Overstock or through Medici Ventures which they own 99% of. I'm expecting a spin off eventually. Crypto is only one aspect of Tzero, they are made to trade anything you can tokenize. Including your standard securities, like OSTK! I did buy more CLSK today though, now THATS pure crypto, BTC miner.
