Medicine PhD is a bad comparison because nobody likes practicing medicine, but consider the generic question of higher education (college) vs a permanent high school dropout who is gifted 8 BTC.
That's the equivalent of roughly $300,000 USD in exchange for giving up a college degree of any sort.
For me, I was 18 a decade ago. $300k is 2 years current salary as a SWE. Obviously, financially it's better to have this consistent income to buy more crypto for earlier financial freedom. So the question is a decision between being a wagie to get wealthy faster, or being a NEET which takes longer. I've chosen the faster path.
