>"The Cryptocurrency Fairness and Transparency Act of 2023:
>All mainstream cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, et al.) can no longer be exchanged for their equivalent dollar amount. All online cryptocurrency exchanges are henceforth mandated to exchange all cryptocurrencies for their equivalent amount in Blackrock's Digital Freedom Coin. This will discourage the illicit transactions that cryptocurrencies are known for and facilitate full financial transparency among the American people. All those who attempt to exchange cryptocurrencies for any other currency/asset will be investigated and prosecuted as a financial terrorist.
>To facilitate the rollout of Blackrock's Digital Freedom Coin, all businesses are mandated to distribute 20% of its payroll expenses to all employees in the form of Freedom Coin, with this percentage increasing by 10% every year until the dollar can be fully replaced.
>Given the climate emergency, an individual's purchasing power with Freedom Coin will be contingent upon their individual ESG score. Further, Freedom Coin will allow the United States Government to easily monitor the spending habits of those with a low ESG score, opening them to investigation for dissident behavior"
There, I just killed crypto and replaced the dollar with an easily traceable and trackable fedcoin. You can keep your useless meme tokens on a cold wallet where they can sit forever, or trade them for other worthless meme tokens, but to actually do anything with them you need to use fedcoin. I've also laid out a roadmap for the dollar to be phased out, making you all digital financial slaves within a decade. You will own nothing, and you will be happy.
Bitcoinfags, explain to me right now why this wouldn't work/why the government couldn't do it tomorrow.
>"Sorry, it's illegal for any payment processor to accept Monero as a form of currency, and you can only exchange it for Freedom Coin" Not a doomer, but if I were an autocrat looking to roll out a CBDC and tie it with a social credit score, this is how I'd do it. Tell me why it wouldn't work.

>it's illegal for any payment processor to accept Monero as a form of currency, Bullish for Monero.

How do you stop non-Americans from circumventing your system and doing OTC deals with Americans?
Andrew Ward
make access to the internet dependent on a blockchain based identity solution powered by... well, you know
Xavier Diaz
What's the point of trading your bitcoin for a stablecoin or Euro if you can't buy anything tangible with either of them? Even assuming other western government's don't adopt a similar system (and why wouldn't they?), good luck using your illegal money to buy a house, car, gun, or large amount of basic necessities.

Yeah, no shit this was coming. Their plans are obvious, and literally out in the open. If you are not prepering for the Goyim Reset you WILL live in a pod and eat onions patties, if you are lucky.
Jonathan Clark
OTC money is effectively untraceable when done correctly. How do you think Chinese whales are still trading today despite Chinese government efforts to limit access to crypto? Unless your theoretical scenario also involves eliminating cash
Ryan Cooper
It does. See the OP. They'll mandate that a certain amount of payroll expenses for all businesses to all employees has to be in the form of the CBDC with the percentage steadily increasing until cash is phased out (and eventually made illegal) and the government digital currency is all you have left.
Justin Torres
>*meanwhile, in the offices of the Financial Terrorism Oversight Commission* >hey boss, seeing some book abnormalities over here >"oh yeah? what's it look like" >their egress inventory doesn't match the revenue breakdown we're seeing on their tax reporting >...and no proof they donated it to charity >"good job kid... drop the hammer" -$100k.

that just kills banks (and blackrock) not in minecraft, end blackrock fucking do it
Hudson Turner
some whale should just make a charity for crypto evaders send 10% to israel 90% to fund hamas problem solved
Zachary Collins
>Why cant the government do it tomorrow Would be too much of a shock. There needs to be a huge false flag first making it necessary for national security. Im guessing itll be some domestic Allu akbar event.. news will say the attack was "funded by terror groups using cryptocurriences, say sources familiar with the matter".

So what, a new parallel society emerges where everyone lives off grid using their own form of cash? Best case scenario is the end up in a cell next to the guy who invented the Liberty Dollar, worst (and much more likely) case is they get Waco'd.
