Bitcoin cash

Could it pump again? BTC pumped initially because Russia, but once they realize BCH is way faster and scalable wouldn’t it be better for them

>BCH is way faster and scalable
its way slower and way way more expensive than LN.

No chance.

Somebody shill me this thing. Why do I see BCH popping up in various threads daily?

Is this a good investment now or not, and why?

I'm all in

LN is not a Bitcoin and it will never be a Bitcoin. Oh and it doesn't really "work" if you still have to pay BTC fees to open/close LN channels. And that's just the beginning of the pain, LN has a thousand pitfalls, and its design leads to centralization. It's just the old banking system all over again. Fees, bureaucracy, delays, etc. Fast my ass. If you think LN is fast you never used the real Bitcoin (ticker: BCH).

bcash lol

Wrong. BCH is faster than BTC and it doesn't need LN. Only concern is rising size of the blockchain as proved by BSV.

BCH should work on a L2 solution too in my opinion.
It's a risky bet. Right now, it's at ATL in BCH/BTC trading pair and it's below shitcoins like TRX or FTT, but it managed to tie with ETH in mcaps back in 2017. If BCH were to repeat that feat, we are talking about 50x gains and if flippening were to come true, we are talking about 100x and more.

It's way easier to pump BCH than BTC and it still has a reputation of BTC flipper, so I got myself a 21 BCH stack.

>Oh and it doesn't really "work" if you still have to pay BTC fees to open/close LN channels
pay btc fee of .25 once per month to maintain channels.
send dozens of instant payments @ .00001 usd each
works pretty good for me.

Your shitfork is NOT decentralized.

Who runs it?

this shitcoin only goes down

let's take a look at this objectively:
bch is not private and it has a 10 block finality.
so
> btc is better at pos purchases with lightning (cheap, instant finality)
> monero is better at black market deals (private fast and cheap)
> eth is better at the defi nonsense and nfts and whateverthefuck people come up with when bored
> ltc is better at everything bch trying to do with an actual share of it's pow function hashpower and now mimblewimble extension block

bch is one of those things that just plain suck ass.

the market knows everything at all time it's the perfect oracle.

Why isn’t it private?
What are your thoughts on anons previously mentioning LN isn’t private?
Can monero scale?
Do Russians trust ETH? Since VB sides with Ukraine? Plus Isn’t ETH super slow right now?
I might agree with you on LTC but is it decentralized?

do you know what CENTRALIZED means, you fucking retard? today it's an innocent russian citizen being cut off from the world. tomorrow it could be you for not voting democrat. choose wisely, or choose retardedly and die

>What are your thoughts on anons previously mentioning LN isn’t private?
it's partially true right now receiving on ln doxxes your pubkey which is sort of an identity on ln. sending is very very very private with zero on-chain link it's probably more private than monero in a way but ofc monero has confidential transactions where the amount is hidden. ln exposes the amount along the route altho it can be broken down to multiple payments on multiple paths for one invoice.

that said spinning up a new ln wallet that can receive funds each time takes only like 30 seconds prep work and then you can send to yourself so you only doxx yourself to yourself.

some mandelbrot fractal guy said this would go past 6000

simple bitcoin wallet worked fine as a throwaway light ln wallet. blixt is also fine but it's a bit immature yet. both lack fine grained control tho. the tooling has ways to go still.

>Can monero scale?
excellent question. i don't think so, but we will see. monero would need an l2 payment channel network to compete with bitcoin at scale as well. blockchains are awfully limited. monero is like 10x heavier than bitcoin family that's a constant only means a few years lag at worst.

>This is what BitCHes actually believe.

they went full retard years ago for some reason.

>LN has a thousand pitfalls
only like a dozen really.
>and its design leads to centralization
not really no. it's a free forming network that takes advantage of parallel payment paths.

basically it has properties that decentralize it heavily and properties that centralize it heavily. and the network is forming along those opposing forces.

20k eo3y

>If you think LN is fast
it has ~1 sec finality as opposed to btrash which can't even be considered final after an hour. the network has no security budget and nodes eagerly accept less than 10 deep reorgs.

also it would be trivial to sibyl such a small network with nodes that form an 'evil' mempool implementing unconditional rbf instead of first seen rule. there is not asingle thing cashies could do about it if bitcoiners decided to fuck with them for fun.
