Question: I ordered some food: pizza, sushi and moroccan tea (3 cups). Courier who arrived was nice and polite, and when passing me my tea he informed me that he spilled some tea because his car bumped on one of those speed bumps. he offered me to only pay for pizza and sushi, and he would cover the tea cost himself. I felt very bad for him - he was short, slim, doesn't look rich or smart, was being so polite and nice, so I declined and paid full price. Not much tea spilled at all, if any.
So, was I correct or should I have pursued maximum efficiency and maximum savings potential and only paid for sushi and pizza?

Hopefully OP has the sense not to believe in the 'vengeful god' fairy tales... but your own conscience be equally effective in judging you.
Even if the guy's job would very likely comp the tea without a second thought, you still get to avoid feeling like a cut for the sake of a couple bucks.
