Let's say that i've made it and i want to cash out. Can i really just go to countries like portugal, malta, estonia, cyprus ecc, get fiscal residence and cash out without paying a cent? Is it that easy? Where's the catch?
Let's say that i've made it and i want to cash out. Can i really just go to countries like portugal, malta, estonia...
Yeah.
if you're a burger the tax authorities will gape your butthole if you ever consider going back
You have to live there for 1 gear before you get tax residency
Getting the cash back in to your shit country would be the catch
Just pay up. It's a service to the community.
Not a burger but i've seen that they have it rough, feel sorry for them.
That's fine no problem
Gotta research that, if it's really that difficult i can just say fuck it and live in one of those tax heavens.
I pay taxes, and the French fisc finds ways to make "mistakes" and assrape me. It's becoming a real job, to complain, get them to listen to me, and present my case. Even as a lowly wagie. Besides, it's getting old, paying for the industrial husbandry of subtropical proto-human consumers.
>cash out
problem in the eu at the moment, don't say actual rich anons never warned you
if you try to send a payment from an exchange into your personal account you will get justed they either block the payment or worse your whole account
the basic minimum you will have to do is go to a tax attorney and have him make you a proof of funds document that states how and where you bought so the bank knows you are not doing money laundering, they may still decline the payment even at this point, also note if you go to the tax lawyer he will be forced to make you pay your taxes or report you otherwise
the only sure way to cash out atm is letzi private bankers, but you'll need to leave about 0.5-1 mill in their boomer their returns fund to justify having an account with them and you have to sit in with their wealth management teams and listen, smile and nod to their proper portfolio balancing presentations and give the impression you give a fuck about esg investing, helps to donate some pocket change to some kangz charity
my recommendation just don't cash out this cycle, live like you were for another 4 years and see if continued adoption gives you better options in 2025
Thanks user i appreciate your wisdom immensely and i'll wait another 4 years as you said, let's hope the eu gets less bad in the meantime. In case things get worse do you know what private banks i could ask for to cash out?
Yup, I tried to cash out from Binance, transaction couldn't go through.
Tried to cash out from conbase, didn't go through and conbase kept the 50 usd fee.
I ended up cashing out to PayPal and wiring out the money to my account.
Took like a week and a massive pain in the ass.
I called my bank to ask them what the fuck is going on and they pretended that the issue isn't on their end and they don't block crypto cex.
wait, you actually can't cash out?
Through PayPal you can but my bank blocked transactions.
They also removed binance from SEPA so no more instant deposit.
I don't know if it's bank policy or what since the person who manages my account seemingly wasn't aware, or was lying.
That doesn't sound easy at all.
Realising a gain is a taxable event. Not cashing out.
Why should it get less bad? They are about to wake up and start legaslating crypto and every other stuff more and more.
Probably because they know they would assist you in tax evasion cause I assume that your crypto exchanges do not automatically extract the tax money from your gains (as CFD brokers in germany do).
I'm in France and here crypto/market trading taxation is done based on your declaration to our local IRS
banque de luxembourg is the only one i can verify, but again these are private bankers they don't take clients you have to proof to them you are worthy of being accepted by them
they lie, the algos auto flag all known cex accounts
it could help if you went to your bank before the transaction with a document saying you are using the cash to pay your taxes tho
I don't know why redditors find this shocking, it's the most centralized decentralized 'currency' ever
Just call your bank beforehand, you can cash out as much as you want as long as you have all the transactions/money inflow proof.
