NFT bubble

This NFT is on sale for 150 ETH yet it took probably 3 minutes to paint. Is the NFT world in a bubble?

still not idea what they are good for

capitalism is a bubble

NFTs are a money laundering scheme. Just like 90% of "modern art"

What's the point of NFT if you could just rightlick and save them?

Ponzi scheme.

>3 minutes to paint
It's probably generated algorithmically at that size.

Also, Reddit thread

It's like marriage, the state knows she's your property and you can prove it, but that doesn't stop Chad from fucking her behind your back.

FWIW almost all NFTs are algorithmically created. The "artist" will create N possible backgrounds, X possible body types, Y possible faces, Z possible accessories, etc. They need to be designed so they stack in any combination. There's then software (main one I know of being "hashlips"), which combines these into a collection of a given quantity, applying supplied % possibilities of each layer being applied, creating "rarity"

They're literally just like digital Hummel figurines or baseball cards. They could be utilized, and most projects succeed based on promises to implement utility for them. But very few of them will actually do that

NFT retards are too stupid to realise that a project that sells out and makes half a million does not then have a stream of income to fund future development of this "utility". Paying a team of devs for a year to implement this utility plus taking a little profit for yourself will eat through that entire pot of funding. Nobody is gonna do that when they can just run

t. NFT developer who would never buy na NFT

dont you mean tyrone?

Literally nothing. NFTs exist for pump n dump schemes and money laundering

proof of ownership. could be used to skip the extra expenses and bureaucracy of buying a house or a car. exactly what it's not used for

yea ikr... nobody is going to take this tech seriously once some company wants to use it for real proposes other than syphoning money out of zoomers and """""""""""investors"""""""""""

it's not a bubble because it does provide a use
money laundering

>Tyrone

Are you?

This

Everything is a bubble. The cute chick you thought liked you at high school and then rugpulled you was a bubble.

If you have an NFT you know it's the original, so you know it hasn't been edited. There are a great many potential uses for that, none of which NFTs are being used for.
