I actually read some rather troubling news this afternoon.... Inflation hasn’t even begun yet, farmers are now being charged $600 a ton for nitrogen for fertilizer that was $200 a ton last year. There’s a coming shortage of fertilizer for growing this year. The port in Ukraine that’s closed is the main supplier for 66% of global fertilizer... Here’s the other kicker, did you know they need natural gas for the production of nitrogen fertilizer? Natural gas pumping isn’t making it cheaper to produce fertilizer.
