Losing my source of income

I'm probably gonna get fired after my shift tomorrow for accepting a $10 tip from a customer. Should I quit early to avoid the termination show up on my background checks? Or should I get fired and apply for unemployment?

I have $33k saved up and my mortgage is only $290 a month. I can survive, but the extra money would be nice.

First off, never quit. Always get fired.

Second, background check? You think there's a master record out there? You're going to throw away unemployment so that your imaginary "permanent record" doesn't get spoiled?

Serious question: Do you think you're the first person to ever get fired?

> fired after my shift tomorrow for accepting a $10 tip from a customer
??? fucking americans

Nice least you had income, I've got 100 dollars left, I can't work so don't bother telling me to get a job.

Literally pajeets are richer than me at this point.
My only consolation is the world might end, I'm also seething watching Ukraine scam the world not once but now twice.

WAGMI brother

How nukes?

100 dollars left? How did you get yourself in that situation?

I was hit by a car, that's the shortest explanation, nobody responds when I explain it all or cares so I don't really bother anymore.

Holy shit, I’m so sorry fren, sounds fucking horrible. Do you have relatives who can help you out?

this
they probably just want to tell you not to do it again
is it easy for your mcdonalds to hire good workers?
most places are struggling right now

No lol I'm pretty much a recluse, my brother helps me but he isn't in a great position

How long ago did you get hit by a car? Did you ever speak to a lawyer?

American freedoms

In december yeah but they fled and the car was illegal and it was a dindu so you know how that is, I'm currently suing my own insurane but I'm sure the lawyers and medical are eating it all up I can guarantee they are they are being suspect as fuck.

I was thinking new employers could call old employers. I just found out they can't say that I was terminated.

> fired after accepting a $10 tip

Explain to non-ameritards

This. America sucks and the employers will rape your asshole over the smallest of bullshit.

You see in america, you're expected to give tip, but you are never allowed to accept tip. I once watched a man commit hiri kiri in an applebees becuase he accepted a tip from a customer.

>applebees
checked and applebees is a graveyard of waiters committing suicide
sad

I work for a shitty store called Safeway. I sold a man a lotto scratcher and he won $200. He decided to tip me $10 of it. Somehow the higher ups caught on. Maybe someone was watching the security cameras. This place sucks and I hope I get fired.

>Safeway
Ah nothing of value was lost then. It's a dead end job anyway, hope you're able to collect unemployment if they fire you. I know in most cases you can't get it if you quit.

Canadabro, we'll make it. Follow your heart

wow that is fucking retarded lol. i worked for a shell once (night shift) and some random dude gave me a clean $100 bill for letting his girlfriend take a dump in the bathroom when my doors are usually locked out to customers. It was their wedding night or something, there was a limo out in the parking. I let it happen, scanned it and it was real. boss never knew or cared. easiest comeup of my life.

theyre paid an agreed contract wage.
certain places like to give the impression they "pay well" and "dont require tips" for staff due to this fact.
It's a globalist thing, if workers know how much the other gets tipped, they know how much they get paid and therefore are theoretically closer to industrial actions and perceived liabilities for the companies.. sycophants and narcissist try to keep shit like this in play to convince themselves of essentiality, rather than admit nepotism.

Can anyone explain why only America using tip system while other countrys use service charge instead?

OP just tell them honestly..
That you working there is a favour to them, you dont need the job, nor really desire it.
If they choose to fire you over providing clearly excellent customer service then that is their imperative. Given that being the case, perhaps it isnt wise to work for a customer service company that rewards shit customer service over loyalty and role ownership.
>we get what we deserve.

because other companies want it to count towards revenue and reporting while pocketing it.
amerifats prefer to pretend all staff get their fair share of tips. its an informal system to allow for certain beneficial breakages.

In America, businesses have conditioned wagecucks to think that they should have to go and perform and entertain their customers for a wage.

They have also conditioned the wagecucks into quitting jobs when tips are replaced with higher wages, because they would rather spin the slot machine for a chance at more money via tips.
