waste of time and money, buy gns

for me it was. bs in biology from a state school. apply for scholarships and grants. maintain at least a 3.5 gpa. now currently in dental school. i have some debt now, but i am guaranteed an ez high paying job when i am done.

yes

Yes
Don’t be a retard

unless you are going for high paying medical, science, engineering...pretty much no. Just go to one of those cheap online schools and check the box off when employers ask.

Yes but make sure you fuck a lot of girls because trust me, you think you have all the time in the world but they end up looking 50 years old by 22.

lol.
one could possibly argue that paying for an education now is a good investment since the cost of private education and a diploma is ever increasing. but practically speaking, no. you will have a hard time finding a job and the degree that you paid for with time money and effort will only be worth $xx,xxx/year. so to even break even you still have to work full time. for me it was hard to grasp all these moving parts and put them to use so i dropped out. it was painful and confusing. do i regret? no. will i go back? no. but if your family supports you doing it than yes, try it. give it your best effort. but if youre paying out of pocket and cant even afford food than no. but its your choice.
I use the ultimate indicator to decide if im doing the right thing; when i wake up in the morning do i feel like im putting on the clown shoes?
if picrel is you than stop what your doing and reconsider.

Deep.

I didn't go to college because I thought I could make it from crypto. Still haven't made it yet.

Yes you fucking idiot. Go to community college, get your AS, go to a public university, get your BS/BA. Don't get something in a social science, but any degree is better than no degree.

You WILL get filtered by HR in a heartbeat. Treat it as a "check the box" feat and nothing more.

No
>but it depends on the degree
Without connections, any degree is worthless.

Learn to code and make passive income. Smarter, not harder.

only if you network a lot

It is, upon certain conditions:
-Does the degree offer a positive ROI
-Do you actually like the subject enough to carry 4 years (possibly more)absolute horseshit in which almost nothing that you learn is actually applied in the industry (except if you do internships)
-Do you actually know the industry environment (Have you talked to workers or experienced the actual jobs of the degree) or are you just looking at salaries/other external bs
-Are you deciding this because YOU want to? or are you being socially pressured by friends, family, and media that this is what you HAVE to do or you'll be a retarded loser that'll never do anything successful.

If you answer NO to any of these, then it is NOT worth it to throw yourself into the financial rape machine that can have long term effects that your small zoomer brain cannot comprehend at the moment. I have graduated already and met so many different type of people and this is by far the best way to answer this question OP. Unless of course you have to go to Uni for your visa or some other shit like that.

This. Did music school for 3 years but got into some shit for having the wrong politics. Trades, entrepreneurship, working under a relative, etc will get you some skills that will help you climb the ladder. Build a network and social capital. The debt and most degrees generally aren't worth it.

If you go into medicine, yes but it's a long and retarded path.
If you go into engineering/cs, maybe, depends if you find a good job in the industry, which not everybody does btw.
everything else, no, unless you can get a job through cronyism

5 things
-Will your degree end in "Science"?
-Can you get a lot of pussy and are fun at parties?
-Will you do more than just go to class then go home?(clubs, elections, sports etc)
-Can you easily afford this without taking out loans and still be paying it off at 50?
-Are you not better off just learning all the skills on youtube and spending the next 4 years working hard every day to prove them?(This question is more specific to art degrees)

If you answered at least 3/4 of these as yes then you would be a retard not to go

3/5 fuck me

No.
Use those 4 years to make money.

Depends on where you're heading.
Arts? No.
Anything STEM? Probably.

30yo compsci from a shithole here
Pros:
+ You get to know likeminded people, or at least connections
+ Some silly boomers will respect you more just because diploma
Cons
- Too expensive
- Too time comsuming (lecture assitance, stupid homework, study for tests, etc...)
- You can learn faster and newer topics on youtube

So it depends, skip if feel it's not worth it or if you think you can earn respect and connections elsewhere

yes, work for yourself and fuck others, many things you will learn is useless so learn to understand the big picture
usually what can be googled is useless

I’m sorry sir but you English is so bad

These are the people picking really shitty deadend careers and then pretending they did everything right by shitposting here about how they made over 6 figures while working half the time. End the demoralization and filter it out immediately
