Which is better option?

I think AVAX is better but nothing stops you to try both, it's better to diversify your portfolio and is also good to learn different chains.

AVAX is propped up more by VC and is still undergoing AAVE LM so the ecosystem is more liquid

I think matic is issuing another round of native-app LM that might cause some TVL and volume pumps

Avalanche above Ethereum because it doesn't have consensus bottleneck (Instant time to finality+Maximum computation difficulty to help with consensus decentralisation) and pretty similar to Ethereum in everything else, I believe pivoting to another consensus for Ethereum at this point is a massive headache because of technical debt.

avax, is the next avax. though i don't know how subnet development is going. if it turns out fine it will being to gobble up the rest of the crypto space by the end of the year. Emin even said in his last podcast dum dums still think it's just another fork of ETH.
