im a night security $17/hr.
all i do is patrol outside a hospital for a few mins then i sit on the benches for the rest of the night on my phone, nothing crazy ever happens here besides the rare occasion of one or two homeless who tries sleeping in the premise which i have to escort out, i can see myself doing this for another year or two so i stack up easy money but i also dont want my life to stagnant here

i've did it for 4 years and it was the comfiest job i've ever had and best sleeping schedule. you work 11 hours while listening to podcasts all day or youtube videos, zero stress, and you fall asleep right away when you're done work. sleep 10 hours and start work where you are with zero commute. everytime i was home on the weekends i left to work tired af from being up all night browsing biz. invested 4 years 50% of my paycheck, and am now living the made it NEET life in europe. i do miss trucking though, unironically felt alot better then
working like a cattle slave doesn't make you a "business man" it makes you a financial cuck. I only respect people who start their own businesses because they want to do something the right way. At first the pay was real shit, but once I figured out which areas tip the most, the money has been decent. If you work every friday+weekend non-stop you can make $3k-4k a month.
If you really need money you can literally work like 100 hours a week and make $7k/month easy. Also unless you literally steal peoples food, there is no way you can get fired.
I WFH as a DBA. I take a backup here, do a restore there, run a script that someone else wrote but dont have permissions to run, etc...

I had the comfiest job I'll ever have in this life, and I left it because I'm retarded and got money hungry. I got hired as a graphic designer/manager after working jobs that made me hate life for years. The company was a small family owned sign shop and the owner genuinely loved me like a son because I pretty much saved his business from closing after he just opened it. The guy was a one a million employer that didn't care for the money and just wanted to make a chill workplace for people. I designed simple stuff I could do in my sleep, and worked maybe 2 hours a day making 46k a year at 26 y/o. Had insurance and 4 weeks vacation. For the first time in my life I didn't dread going into work and life was fucking good. No stress and could go snowboarding in the Rockies with my friends and family whenever I wanted which is my true passion. I wasn't gonna be rich but at least I didn't feel like a wage slave. Got demoralized/psyoped into thinking I should be making more at my age and decided to go to a different compny to make SLIGHTLY more money, and now I'm actually a wageslave again for ppl who don't give a fuck about me and i want to rope every minute of the day. Fuck me, I didn't know how good I had it til it was gone. I should have just accepted that I was content and comfy instead of trying to be something I'm not. I can't cope with the burning regret and my mental state is withering day by day. Don't make the same mistake I made.I didn't even realize it, but in my own way had made it. And I threw it all away like a fuckin retarded. If your job pays the bills and doesn't make you dread Monday, fucking keep it.
