looks like heavily nickel-enriched silverplate desu

damn. i am a noob when it comes to silver.

Alright guys, I'm not the original creator but we haven't had one of these in a while. Do you want a stack pic of yours in a /pmg/ multidisciplinary collab? I was thinking of making an early 2022 version this weekend, I had mentioned it earlier this week.

Most if not all of that is just plated unfortunately. Hard to make out much from the pic, it's possible that the tea strainer, sugar/creamer, s&p shakers and maybe the 2 pedestal pieces on the left are sterling but even if those all were good it wouldn't be worth 800 syrupbux.

9/10 if they don't show the mark showing where it came from and the silver comp it isn't real silver. if its really old itll usually only have a makers mark pressed into it and wont be accompanied by the silver content.

i love ingot pepe.

Buy one. They're oddly, deeply satisfying.

i still freak out over the HUGE nuggits in Australia.

native gold is best gold, it feels.. right. I dont know any way to describe it better.

I want to get a gold quartz ring but new they are so goddamn expensive.

I nominate FrosTyboi, no collage can be complete without it: Pic related is the main portion of the sterling I've accumulated so far in 2022, cost average still under $10/ozt ASW and I hope to keep it there all year.

You'd be the most likely authority to know about that. I'm still fascinated by that piece - thanks for the tip!

finding native gold in nature is such a treat, i love placer gold, but gold in ore is probably the thing that really keeps me looking. That first look and the realization whats in your hands is magic.

Damn that's gorgeous. It was years back but did you ever see the YouTube video of an Australian hobbyist detectorist (think his day job was in Engineering) who laid out all the gold he had dug up and it covered his kitchen table? Over a million melt value then and rather more now, it was incredible. I think he took down the vid when it started getting too popular, probably didn't want to get robbed.

I found some data on abandoned mines in my area and was surprised by how many there are. How dumb would it be to break into one?

Oh I'd love to include it, frosty posting is great. I only want to include stuff that has explicit permission from an user though.

Also I posted the wrong template, whoops. If someone wants something in a collab, link it to this post. Love /k/ and Any Forums posts but try to post anything representing a different board if you can. Otherwise literally this entire thing would just be for those two.
