most investors, banks, and general fucking households absolutely loved the beginning of the DOTCOM era. Personal computers made their way into basically every household in the 90's and 2000's in the span of less than a decade.
DeFi, blockchain, and web3 are ideas that have simultanously existed since 2010, and 12 years later it's not even in the top 20% of U.S households. Web3 hype will die slowly because of just how inaccessible it remains. You're not at the Dotcom boom, you're in 1950 and they're still calling computers "digital brains". Web3 dream is dead and it's gonna take a good 5-10 years from now before the next real innovation gets here
