My mom is sitting on potentially tens of thousands of shares in RBC stock because she doesn't understand how the stock market works I'm actually at a loss for words. She started working at RBC (as a computer technician) shortly after she arrived in Canada from the USSR in 1988 and employee stock options + a share purchase plan were part of her compensation. As far as I can tell she's exercised her stock options every single year she's worked there and she's put part of her paycheck into buying shares at a preferred rate since she became eligible in 1991. She's worrying about not having enough for retirement when she could have potentially retired 10 years ago when I was still in highschool. I also now understand why she was constantly bitching about RBC stiffing her on pay when I was growing up. A portion of her salary was being used to purchase RBC shares on her behalf. Fucking slavs I swear to god man.

Funny you mention that baggot. I was at one of my accounts late last night and because nobody was there I didn't have to wear a mask for the first time in a long time. You know what I noticed. How terrible everything smelled. I'd go into offices and all I could smell was their dirty boots. The terrible smell of feet. I smelled shit everywhere I went, and a general unpleasant smell.
