I read that since BTC is non-fungible, i.e., using a UTXO model, the phenomena of "tainted coins" arises, such that you can always see the full TX history of the coin, so that stolen coins remain tainted. Like if you have 10 BTC, and I've stolen 1 BTC, and I send that BTC to you, so you have 11, it's possible to determine which of your 11 BTC are tainted. Contrarily, with a balance/account based model, like ETH uses, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between your original 10 BTC and the 1 BTC I sent you. I believe KDA is also using the account based model.
