Either way, you can't argue with the end result. Whether or not it's a conspiracy, the current system has been inflating away the middle class since we came off the gold standard, and each CPI methodology revision has been in one direction: down.
From my experience working at an investment bank, I think it would be near impossible to co-ordinate a massive conspiracy throughout the entire bank, but the rules we play under are literally centrally planned. I do however think that influential people that make these rules and protect scum like Epstein and offer products to evil people despite their known crimes against humanity. We also probably let a lot of illicit financing go under the rug and you only ever hear about a small fraction that gets caught.
