Why?

They can have fun staying poor then I guess. Imagine trying to make a "career" from being an artist and turning down the greatest opportunity they will ever see to actually be relevant.

I've been in crypto since 2017 and I still have no idea why I would need to buy an NFT from an artist other than to try to resell it

Because NFTs aren't about art, they're about money.

Artists are always massive faggots.

this
im an artist and i already made some bitcoins by posting my art in dome discords.

Thing is - cryptobros are super wealthy so its not a problem to them to pay artists.
most of art is not about art but about money

- videogames
- modern art
- music
- animation industry
- etc.etc.

while they stay poor ive racked up hundreds of thousands in nfts. Made tons of profits selling and moved a ton of that into tokens.
so let this sad pathetic geek stay poor and bitter once this takes off and they get left behind. pathetic nerds showing why they an evolutionary dead end in life

Not even close to true. Art is literally the primary purpose for the end user. People don't buy videogames to resell them, they buy them to play them. People don't buy music or movies to resell them, they buy them to listen to them/watch them. In most cases, people aren't buying art as a speculatory investment, they're buying it so they can put it up on their wall and enjoy it. That's my point. People don't buy NFTs for the artistic value, it's exclusively about making money.

>People don't buy NFTs for the artistic value,
Depends on who you ask

exactly lmao, denying one of the biggest goldrushes in crypto just because some furries will stop supporting you is straight retarded

>People don't buy NFTs for the artistic value
except they do.
Some pajeets are into flipping but there are tons of people who get into project because they want cool avatar that also allows you to be a part of the club.
I would never join project with shitty art.
i even hold one NFT just because i like to ownt that piece of art. i even went full autism and made it my smartwatch wallpaper.

I think people are misinformed and not interested enough to create their own opinion, it's easier to read a Twitter thread or one article about it and stick with the media perspective. Many of the artist complaining about it have Twitter threads full of fake data, information taken out of context and a lack of investigation in any sense. It also doesn't help that most of the art which has been shown in mass media has been pfps like Apes or some drawings from a 10 year old, and Beeple. If these same artist had the time to find any other source of information, I think at least some would find a Blockchain they like and would find there are more unique artists.

Oh right, and artist dont need money to afford tools to make art

herd mentality. normies link NFT's with "expensive monkey picture greed scam". The principles behind nft's are the same ones that are behind crypto. most people don't actually know or want to know what any of these terms mean:
decentralization
tokenization
smart contracts
DeFi, DApps, DEX's
if you know what these are, congratulations, you are smarter than 99% of normies and you can still get rich off of crypto in the upcoming bull run.

Good. Let the leftist trannies stay poor and left behind.

my obscure artist of choice (20k on spotify) is seething about music nfts since some nigger stole his songs and is selling them as nft, the platform told him to fuck off since its le decentralized but theyre just greedy faggots
i dont blame average normie for hating nfts

>implying artists don't sell their soul at the first sight of a shekel
>implying there's anything wrong with monetizing art
If art is done purely for money (see: rap) then yeah it's trashy, but selling something like a score or a painting you spent a year to do isn't bad at all. I have a feeling it's only leftist artists who hate NFTs.

Then clearly there's a market for his music. He could sell his own NFTs instead of moaning. Same case as youtubers selling merch when others begin using their image.

>>Why artists hate NFT?
These people aren't artists. They are shitters in school blowing up air in each other's assholes.
Retards going to art school, always waste valuable time that they could be perfecting their craft.

>>This is a case of NFT being a old people thing, and we are the motivated youth will stand against this because of reasons.
>> we both yelled "NO".
Fucking youth worship is cancer, only 2/100 of these faggots will do anything substantial with their lives. As much as I hate NFTs taking opnions off of diaper babies about anything.

excuse me sir, I buy NFTs based on which one I think look pretty

>Retards going to art school, always waste valuable time that they could be perfecting their craft.
this
im a selftaught and it literally took me just 2 years of 8-9hours of day of drawing and then playing videogames and then sleeping - r/repeat/etc.
+ i got a freelance job during my first year simply being active on freelancing sites.

Art schools is for useless circlejerk hipsters and girls so they can say "I'M AN ARTIST"

same artists who will whine when their useless art degree means the only place they can find work is at starbucks
