Can you get some narrative therapy?
wow now I dont feel so bad about my rampant substance abuse problem
never really understood gambling honestly. I'll buy a lottery ticket every once in a while or throw in an a superbowl box pool but that's the extent of it.
sorry I have no idea how to advise you on this. it sounds really shitty dude. you're statistically going to lose money to the house playing shit like blackjack that many times, even if you're using an optimal strategy.
I've heard from people here that the only gambling that makes sense is something like texas hold em where you're competing against other players rather than the house
i used to have substance abuse problems for years, upon getting money it just developed into an endless cycle of gambling and raising stakes
No. I get bored in five minutes at a slot machine and am ready to take a nap.
replace it with coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooming
GOD!!!!!!! I JUST KEEEEEEEP COOMING
Do you play basic strategy? Do you count? Does your casino have shit rules? Do you play like 10 mil a year?
Just do bsc shitcoins , more chacnce of winning
>well over 6 figures
LARP or gross exaggeration
What even is "well over six figures?"
If you lost between $100,000 and $999,999 you'd say "six figures," and if you lost over $1,000,000 you'd say "seven figures."
What is "well over six figures?" Eight figures?
You've either made up the whole story, or you've lost much less than you claim. My guess is low five figures, tops.
Or he’s lost like 140k and you’re being a pedantic retard.
Why not just degen crypto shit? Can actually have an edge. Although it's not easy. Especially now.
That's because you've never actually gambled. Stakes that are appropriately sized for your level of wealth and income are an experience like nothing else.
Flirting with danger is exciting as heck. It's why people skydive. Difference is that there's a chance I end up better off financially on a gamble.
I don't get the fucking slot zombies though. It's not even really gambling at the stakes most people play.
I spend more than I should on lottery tickets.
I know it's statistically retarded in every way but I've been desperate for the slightest hit of hopium for a while
Blackjack is not beatable unless you count cards and you take countermeasures against the solution the casinos came up with to beat counters.
Has something to do with card distribution. Will discuss if you want.
picking individual stocks or crypto is a better form of gambling
you might learn a thing or two after a loss or win
what can you win in a game that is based solely on luck?
Dude, the time machine was invented, and you came from years ago, right? I understand the play-to-win addiction. But try to play to earn games instead. They're fun, you don't lose an astronomical amount of shit, and more importantly, you can make really good money. Card games will do for you. The best among them right now is LOC Game. Go and play it. Don't cry here.
I'm sure he already knows how to play blackjack and count cards, it's incredibly simple. There are plenty of books written by expert mathematicians on how to play blackjack, and crazily enough all of those books will involve the author telling you they lost more money than they win.
With a bankroll of 10k, you have a 1% chance to go broke and will make $5/hr if you play using proper math, counting and strategy.
I lost $2.5k in 4 hours playing blackjack, went home, read a lot more on it and realized I would literally make more money working at McDonalds unless if I had a $100k bankroll, and that money would be better invested into stocks or crypto anyway.
OP if you like Norm Macdonald then this is a nice little video about gambling addiction.

Gambling is fun man, and the Casino can be a very fun and engaging place. Don't let an addiction consume you, humans are prone to habits and as useful as they can be, habits are what make us crazy and accustomed to doing extreme, irrational things.
In situations like this, some people to turn to religion, others therapy, and some people try their best with sheer force of will. My advice is to take a small break, and then maybe get involved in other, low stake games like tournament poker. In blackjack, even $25 min can have you lose $1k in an hour. Tournament poker, especially small locals ones, won't cost you more than $100 and you can play all night,
Just because you don't have the possibility of losing 6figures gambling doesn't mean it's incredibly easy for other people. Some people are born into incredible wealth, and go to the casino with 50k every week. They don't know how much they lost, they just know they lose a lot, so it's easier to say 6figures.
If you haven't had a gambling addiction or experience with people who had, stay out of the thread and comment elsewhere. You added nothing.
In theory blackjack is countable, but in practice it is NOT countable, UNLESS certain countermeasures are taken into account.
> i don't know how to stop playing blackjack
Protip:
Dealer shows face card you stand
If you draw an A, stand
Always split 6-6 and 7-7
Always buy Insurance
Double Down any hand when you have under 9 or a 16
