Does anyone here pan for gold? It sounds pretty comfy. Is it a reliable source of income?

I make 352k Canadian a day panning in creeks with my plumber buddy

If you're Aussie it's great. Otherwise don't even bother with it.

Don't invest in bayhorse.

them yeller scritch ain’t but a pouncer at best, young’n. yer gonna want to get a bigger pan then that if ya’re wantin a be a real pandler dandler yippeee!!

don ‘ t be a fool and get rugged again . buy real gold for mad gains!

I do in the summer. You could spend a whole day and have nothing to show. Other days you walk away with $5 worth of dust. There are some hard-core dudes who have $1,000 metal detectors and sluice boxes but even those guys are doing it as a hobby.

You losers will do anything to avoid filling out a job application, holy shit

Do PMG boomers hold gold etc at least partly because your assets are tangible and nice to look at? From a price appreciation / hedge standpoint it's a shit investment IMO but I might be willing to buy some just to have some cool gold pirate coins in a safe or something

DELETE THIS NOW

>implying they even get looked at

I collect gold coins partially to look at and play with.
but only buy stuff that's not far over spot.
e.g. pic related, liberty-head, maple, krug etc.
It's a fun way of consuming without really losing money.
Nicest are 22k-ish in this regard as they sound nice and are a bit more robust than .999..

with a current gen maple or Britannia you're more afraid to ruin the design... so they mostly stay in the collecting-box.

sound comparison

are you retarded?

you need to either get lucky - or have expensive equipment + experience with that equipment.

You also need understanding of geology.

Aus is a shithole where all the remaining gold hot spots are multi-hour drives from the nearest town, enjoy paying 2x for fuel and food in remote areas, faggot

is this a joke ike garloids? i live in canada near alot of rivers

Yes, gold isn't really found in rivers,
It's harvested in bee-hives, the bees take small amounts of gold with the pollen that contains trace-amounts.
Sometimes honey is sold including the gold instead of separating it, but it's uncommon ...
.. might sound believable to some.

That's illegal in the california

Mining Bitcoin is unironically more profitable

been wondering the same about metal detecting because in the handful of times I have been digging a hole to plant something I have found two mercury dime coins which makes me think that silver coins aren't *too* rare in the ground

watched a bunch of youtube videos of guys doing it in random streams and rivers. looks like a fun day outdoors and cool little hobby. but these guys were spending all day to find like $10 worth of gold. it's just for fun.

Just go watch Gold Rush or something, it'll give you an idea of how it works. On the larger scale, anyway.

I scrap e-waste and sell it on eBay to retard boomers who chemically extract the PM. Go to YouTube and look for metal reclamation. It's a boomer or a jeet every time

Visited my ex's dad in Cali, he lived 30 min outside Nevada city the first gold rush town. Panned in the river some and smashed big quartz and rocks looking for veins inside. We were running 2 pans and didn't find anything

Don't buy krugerends, 24k is only way to go

Also check my id

I have a ring made of alluvial gold from a certain river. I asked the goldsmith about it, he said he buys gold from guys who work the river. He said they never tell you how they are doing.
