Starting your business just means doing 2x the work for 1.5x the pay IF you know what you are doing. Lots of people dont, they work their asses of and still go bankrupt because they are stupid. That cant happen if you are a wagie.

>I read this book after I made it, but he explains it well. I'd have listened if you took the books advice and applied it successfully. >"Take the highway bro" He literally got lucky.

Starting a business is actually not reliable at all. Most new businesses fail.
It's just that if you want to go from poor to rich, the only way to do so quickly is by convincing a lot of other people to give you money. The only way to do this is by selling them something.
If you work for yourself, in an honest blue-collar fashion. You'll be working your ass off everyday seven days at week and it'll be "feast or famine" depending on if you can get good frequent business from ordinary people. Ordinary people are penny-pinchers who won't want to pay you a lot of money like you want.
The way you get filthy rich as a business is forming contracts with the government and/or FAGMAN corporations. Because neither of those aforementioned parties are penny-pinchers, they have infinite money cheat codes and are happy to throw huge sacks of money at you.
Like, take clothing for instance. If you got into the business of selling shirts to people. You really aren't going to make much money, but if you get a government contract to sell button-up shirts to the Police Department with embroidered patches on them, you can sell them shirts for $150 a pop and it's in their budget to spend $1200 a year PER OFFICER to get new clothing. Now you're a fucking millionaire selling shirts with a sweet government contract.

99% of businesses out there are dog shit running them is worse than a high paying job

Not the case, the point to owning a business is separate revenue from hours worked, while you may work a lot of hours your income is not limited to your hours.
This is a nonsense statistic, people are stupid and start businesses for no reason. Where I live there are heaps of pizza shops, a new store opened and I went in to check it out... I asked the owner what his point of difference was going to be and he looked at me blankly, never thought why someone should purchase of his business rather than the one down the road.
Start with limited capital and even part time and it's essentially impossible to lose money unless you're a brainlet
Jeremiah Foster
Any business selling shirts is a stupid business, low margin selling is for chumps. Most people are stupid and so are their businesses, this is not new information.
Ryan Thompson
>selling shirts >low margin Each shirt consists of a dollar worth of cotton and 5 cents worth of burmese slave labor user.

>work for 40 hours a week and get paid for 40 hours of work >work 20 hours a week and develop a product that gets bought by thousands of people working 40 hours a week

In business school one of my multi millionaire business owner professors pleaded with us to never go into the restaurant business. The competition is high and margins are low.
He said starting a fast food or other franchise like a gas station is much more reliable. His friend owned a few dozen and said Subway was the best franchise for new entrepreneurs because the fees are lower and it is perceived as healthier by the public.

Me. I have start-up capital. Enough to build a basic MVP or rent out work space for a year+ Willing and able to work as a partner with the founder. Money and good workers are not everyone's problem. I need the take charge partner to support.
