There is no doubt that Cody Rhodes helped out AEW significantly, both inside the squared circle and backstage as well. He was the EVP of the company and had numerous responsibilities, all of which he performed to the best of his abilities. It seems Bully Ray doesn’t think Cody Rhodes’ AEW departure is legitimate.
As reported earlier, Cody Rhodes and his wife Brandi are parting ways with the company after working there for over three yes. This was certainly a big shocker for fans and the AEW locker room as well.
While speaking on Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall Of Fame Bully Ray addressed Cody Rhodes leaving AEW. Ray made it clear that he is convinced Rhodes’ departure is a work.
>”It’s all a work. Seriously, it’s all a work and Rhodes iscoming back as a heel to destroy AEW. I said that there needs to be a heel that actually poses a threat to the entire company.”
Even some in AEW believed Cody Rhodes’ departure was a work, but it is unlikely that is the truth. WWE is already celebrating Cody Rhodes’ departure as well. We will have to wait and see how Rhodes will fare in WWE, as that seems to be his next pro wrestling destination.
