Because for the most part, Tony is apparently able to discern the good ideas from the bad, that Cornette puts forth.

If you listen to Cornette, then it becomes obvious that Tony, or at least one of this advisors, clearly does as well, as they seem to take Cornette's opinions/feedback to heart.

At the same time, they ignore his downright STUPID ideas. I stopped listening to Cornette awhile ago, but recently picked him back up again, and while the dude has his good opinions, he also has absolutely INSANE booking philosophies. Were it up to him, AEW would become an absolutely boring product where there would be no fun or exciting spots. Not to say generic wrestling can't be fun or exciting, but even the best wrestling in the world is gonna get boring after awhile when the entire show only has one style. Which is what Cornette apparently wants.

Cornette was convinced that wrestling was dead and MMA was the new wrestling. So he booked a bunch of worked MMA shit like the Future Shock break up. He also passed on the Super Smash Brothers because Uno is fat and Stu didn't let Corny suck his dick. If you're going to get booked by Corny, you either got to let him blow you or fuck his fat wife.

He's right about Tony not being consistent enough with some of his booking. Some stories, he lasers on and always focuses and shows what needs to be shown. But a lot of stuff just gets abandoned and left behind, or just sits there until it cools off too much. Tony needs to push stories with more consistency.
