Yep. WWE : Reddit and AEW : 4Chud
>WWE/REddit
Massively influential and culturally relevant, relentlessly profitable
>AEW/Any Forums
utterly irrelevant piss ants who have never made even a single dime.

ogey mmark

No shit. WWE has a 70 year lead plus Saudi money pumped into it every year.

kek WWE is so based

Vince will pay for his deals with the Saudis, God willing

Cope

So you don't think they make money then?

You bring up wrestling in America and everyone automatically assumes WWE. It’s legacy cemented to the point that it’s synonymous with the word wrestling. AEW will never be able to change that dynamic. They will always be Pepsi to Coca Cola.

you're right but calling aew pepsi is a major stretch because even if its not coke, everyone has still heard of it. its more accurate to call them mr pibb or something lol

sure they do, retard. they get a new contract and their revenue goes up big-time

>AEW doesn't have a hope in hell of catching up to WWE.
They do. Most of WWE's revenue is based off of TV rights. To catch up to WWE in terms of revenue, AEW just has to get a similar or greater TV rights deal. Which is entirely possible, if not probable, just probably not for a decade or so.

Savage but true

It's more like RC or Faygo. It's always there in the store but it's such a small part of the soda aisle no one bothers with it unless they just don't like Pepsi or Coke.

WWE is a near $4 billion company. You think AEW will get close to that?

So the quality of the product is inverse to the amount of money they bring in?

Not immediately. But, eventually, yes, I do. By the time AEW is a 4 billion dollar company, WWE will probably be like, a 6-7 billion dollar company, so they'll still be behind, but if you don't think it's going to get much, MUCH closer over the next decade, you're not paying close enough attention. These rights deals do not go down. They only go up.

Lol all the sad weeb cunts on here trying to ignore the fact that despite being over half a century old, AEW blew Who Japan the fuck out within 2 years. Remember when Who Japan refused to work with AEW and yet now they send they're former world champions over to be in some midcard feud.

Nah the bubble will burst over the next 10/15 years, once the NFL goes to streaming TV is dead

>Nah the bubble will burst
People have been saying that for a while and it hasn't happened yet.
>once the NFL goes to streaming TV is dead
Then the money would come from streaming, rather than TV. The format doesn't matter, the truth is this - people will tune in to live sports, and as long as people will tune in to live sports, wrestling has a very powerful niche, because they're live sports that air year round. So people will watch it live, which gives it value to advertisers. You can say "oh, advertisers don't like wrestling", which might be true relative to the NFL, but it still has a lot of value, regardless of the format.

WWE CONTINUES TO INFLUENCE THE WORLD

Streaming isn't the same as cable, it's much more specialised packages

you are mistakenly comparing wrestling with real sports. it will never get a good tv deal because its low brow, low class entertainment, while a real sport even if its less popular like hockey will get a far better tv deal.

Sure, but Amazon still a billion dollars a year for Thursday Night Football. Which means if Amazon or ESPN+ rolled up to WWE or AEW, they could still say "we do this fraction of the NFL's ratings, our show is always at the top of its night in these demos, and we're on all year, so we want 200 million a year."

Look at the Peacock deal for WWE. It's almost the exact same as the Raw deal.
