Why didn’t Impact do anything with this opportunity?

Why didn’t Impact do anything with this opportunity?

Why didn't AEW?

He made Impact's ratings go down so they pulled him off the shows

Kenny tried to shoehorn himself into a new Japan angle (again) since he’s desperate to work with them because he faces inferior opponents in aew but new Japan just no sold him. Kwab

Switchblade btfo all of them in a mic battle to where they couldn't even respond then never appeared again.

It wasn't an opportunity for AEW. It was an albatross.
>utterly inferior fed
>less viewers
>worse production
>worse atmosphere
>worse workers

Options and consequences:
>do a crossover story on both dynamite and impact - almost no one sees the portions of the story on impact
>show clips of impact shows on aew to catch people up - it looks and sounds minor league, plus nobody likes watching clips so ratings go down
>use impact talent - they aren't over to the aew audience, and aren't as good as the guys you've already got
>put aew talent on impact - they probably have to put some impact shitter over, are seen by a very small audience, and are risking injury and not being available for aew shows

Why is someone like jay's caliber wasting his time in impact tho?

wtf is that ring

kek what a failed and forced gimmick that wasted everyone's time

Difficulty with pandemic rules between all countries so they used Jay and Will to support the Strong brand and their various partnerships with other companies. As a result of lending 'top star' Jay to Impact NJPW they can now use almost any Impact talent they want, whenever, and had a few appearances already on Strong, Ospreay is doing similar stuff and despite the main Japanese product not being as exciting lately they actually did a good job with Strong as the shows were good, they had a deeper talent roster than anyone would have expected, and they gave their LA Dojo guys alot of experience with different people.

You're an albatross

Because they probably weren't allowed to beat either guy?
I'm more curious why there was no coherent plan of conclusion to any of this and neither side took advantage of the opportunity to book something interesting. The best TNA got was some poorly advertised angles and matches that were average at best and lead nowhere. The best AEW got was putting gallows and Anderson on TV to do nothing but waste time and show off their music which is somehow the worst music in wrestling history. And Don Callis got wabked off by the observer marks for being an OK manager who did literally nothing at all besides feature in long, pointless segments that helped no one and did nothing.
The entire thing was just bad and only Meltzer drones say otherwise.

It's AEW. It was Tony Khan ho did it. He always does shit like this they can't get anything good. Even when they present something good on A FUCKING SILVER PLATTERN TONY KHAN IS RUINING IT! I cant believe you fucking retards still watch AEW they hate you. AEW fuckin hates you all and their sjust waiting for you to cry and watch you cry over the

>Omega shows up (mostly via backstage bits but still) as their champion
>Tony gave them Private Party and Matt Hardy for a short tag title chase program which went fine
>Moose gets a title match at Daily's Place
So far so good
>Tony then gave them Sammy Guevara to do something with him that they agreed upon, even wrote Sammy off TV for a few weeks so they could work with a "jumping ship"/invasion angle
>flew Sammy out for them
>Impact writers proceed to change the script to what was agreed upon there
>it involved something Sammy was uncomfortable with (never confirmed what, but believed to be beating up a woman based on a Black Taurus vs a knockout match being booked quickly to fill the spot)
>wouldn't change back despite Sammy's requests and Tony get involved in a call
>Sammy flies back, makes it all a waste of time and money
This one booking mess soiled the trust between the companies, meaning the only crossover was Gallows & Anderson showing up on Dynamite
>until Anderson went full drunk retard on Twitter again and AEW quietly distanced themselves from him, fucking over Gallows in the process
>weeks go by with no other crossovers other than Omega parading around with the belt
>Impact push for Christian to win their championship from him to get a short program out of Christian, kind of defeating the point of building Omega up to put over someone on Impact's own roster
On a side note, AEW offer AAA the belt to be dropped to Andrade, but AAA say "nah it's cool, you keep it", until Omega inevitably has to take time off for injuries and so the title goes vacant. So you can decide if AAA or Impact are the dumb ones here
>only other crossover is Kaz, who like every part of his "Elite Hunter" gimmick, is completely forgettable
>nothing

tl;dr: The Sammy booking drama practically killed the deal outside of some later pleasantries of letting some ex-Impact roster members make cameos

tl;dr: AEW are not reliable partner

Kenny had a bunch of 6 man tags with randoms in Impact. Why couldn’t Impact just have Jay White in one? Neither need to get pinned.

why didn't WWE

Tranny's Law lmao

its tony khans fucking ego he always does shit like that no one is allowed to do anything and have fun he hates impact so much you can tell de doesnt want to do anything remember when he made yutube videos with tony shovahne making fun of impact all the time?

holy worked mark

But he let NJPW get away with murder on Dynamite. Kenta came, KTFO'd Mox, told Omega to STFU and walked away while Omega did nothing, then beat Mox and whoever the fuk, I think Kingston in a tag, then left and was never seen again on the show.

Tiny Khan won't let his wrestlers lose.

Which is why NJPW has a closer working relationship with Impact.
