So far it seems the whole thing is going to be a win for the Vineyard. It is unexpected for sure, but they only have to deal with what looks like a few dozen migrants. Gives them a chance to get their families out and "give aid" for the photo ops then send them on their way when they're done and never have to live with them. I don't see any kind of long term achievement here. Send a plane every day for months then maybe progress will be made.
