Insurers force change on police departments long resistant to it

something different... a free-market approach to encourage change in police departments, one that doesn't rely on woke-ism, social justice, or what have you.

i'll admit i'm not a huge fan of insurance companies, but more on a "i don't trust their motives" than any inherent hatred of insurance in an of itself.

and it's not just one woke insurance company driving this:

I think i suggested that insurance companies might be an answer way back when to this problem but kinda forgot about it until now. Honestly, i think this is a solution that might be palatable to most involved: it's not government pushing down or woke-ness pushing up, but just brute cost benefit analysis.

Thoughts? have any of your local PDs been changing policy recently? any related insurance news that you heard of in your area?
