It's not banned, it's just not being enforced anymore for under 50 who are not high risk. Same as my work place used to make it mandatory and now they're lifting it. They've banned children from getting it voluntarily.

That's because the vaccines are expensive and most people under 50 have taken at least two doses, so they are immunized and in no risk of dying.

i got covid after 3 rounds of shots and covid still almost killed me. i couldn’t breathe at all, i would sit in the bathroom and run the shower to try to get a humidifier effect. it was very scary. then i got long covid and smelled burning chemicals for weeks until we nuked it with antibiotics and steroids. covid caused an effect on my immune system and triggered a rare auto immune disease where i’m allergic to water now when my skin touches it. (showering / sweating / swimming etc)
it’s safe to say i think i would’ve died without a vaccine. my body couldn’t handle it. i also want to say that any viral infection can trigger an auto immune response, but it’s very rare. covid is just trickier and not as well understood as other viruses. i just got unlucky.

many employers will keep the mandates in place. i've seen companies requiring a second booster for all workers despite it not being medically indicated by the CDC. people were having to call dozens of pharmacies and drive hours away just to get a booster (that no public health entity was encouraging for their age range) just to keep their job

They'll slowly lift it because people are getting lazier and not getting boosted. I got fully boosted because I'm fat and so I'm high risk. A lot of my coworkers arent getting boosted anymore and the company stopped asking for proof of vaxx 6 months ago. This is a huge company that employs tens of thousands in aus
