>mostly descend from Celtic Britons, Picts, Anglo-Saxons, Norsemen, Normans, Flemings and other Medieval immigrants (and every major finescale archaeogenetic study repeatedly proves it) >speak English, a West Germanic language with significant Romance influence >call themselves after Celtic Gaels from Ireland and plaster their pirate raider immigrant tongue all over their signposts in regions it was never originally spoken, or ever (or barely ever) spoken
Is this the most mentally detached, incoherent, vapid 'identity' ethnoLARP in existence?
>Genes don't lie. You're right, they don't. And genes state clearly you're not Gaelic.
>They're celtic. They're partly Celtic, not Gaelic. Their Celtic admixture comes from Celtic Britons and Picts, different peoples entirely. They've also had heavy admixture with Anglo-Saxons, Norsemen, Normans, Flemings and other Germanic (or partly Germanic) groups. Saying 'they're Celtic' is about as much of a cope as saying 'they're Indo-European'.
>The red hair alone proves it. The vast majority of the population has brown hair, there are more blond people than redheads. Red hair is also found all throughout northern and eastern European populations. It's not any higher in the parts of "Scot"land people actually live in than it is in England, the Netherlands, Norway or neighboring parts of Europe.
>Means nothing. Okay, well Celtic people never existed then, clearly, because they descended from the exact same people Germanic peoples did and overlap and overcluster with them genetically. Thanks for playing.
No. The Semitic influence occurs in all Indo-European languages, including Germanic ones. It was most likely picked up by Proto-Indo-Europeans from the Steppe when they had some interactions and admixture with Caucasian groups who had Semitic admixture and influence. Proto-Indo-Europeans were something like 50% Caucasian Hunter-Gatherer and 50% Ancient North Eurasians.
>muh genes >language means nothing The audacity of you stating this while trying to simp for a dead historical ethnolinguistic group is fascinating. They all descend from the same threeway Bronze Age admixture of PIE/WHG/EEF, spastic. Celtic-speaking groups weren't even closely genetically related whatsoever.
Are you the same weegie who makes anti-Irish threads on /his/?

WHAT IF IM RIGHT AND CHRISTKIKIANITY IS A JEW FUCKOUT RELIGION. ITS THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES SENSE IVE JUST BEEN LOOKING AT THIS SHIT LONGER THAN ALL OF YOU.........

>Most Celts are like that, even the ones in France. Full time LARPers. I get that. What I don't get is why they would LARP as Gaels and impotently try to revive Gaelic. Welsh, and the language ancestral to Welsh (Common Brittonic) was spoken there long, long before Gaelic (in fact Gaelic spread into Scotland around the same time English did), and the actual Insular Celtic ancestral component they have comes from Celtic Britons and Picts overwhelmingly anyway, not Gaels. So if they're going to LARP as anything today why would it not be Welshmen. Why would they not put Welsh signs everywhere and teach Welsh in schools.
Cooper Edwards
People in Scotland aren't Gaels. They don't descend from Gaels (they'd be lucky if even 5% of them could claim Gaelic descent by this point) and they don't speak a language descended from Gaels. The fact you try and advance a Gaelic identity in "Scot"land just further reduces any modern sense of Gaelicness to ridicule and vapidness. If you actually care about Gaels, stop pretending people that objectively are not Gaels in any sense are Gaels. It just reduces Gael as a concept to such nothingness that it vanishes into the ether over time.

Imagine being this autistic. The (((science))) says we all came from nigger apes.

>The (((science))) says we all came from nigger apes. Okay well would you agree everyone in "Scot"land is just English then. Would you agree you're English? If we're just going to totally ignore ancestry and archaeogenetic findings, what do you go by? You claim blood and genetics matters constantly here and then bury your head in the sand and refuse to accept what archaeogenetic studies repeatedly find. So clearly blood and genes don't matter to you. What does then? Because you don't seem to care about language and culture either. So what do you care about?
The simple fact is, on NEITHER grounds (be they language/culture or genetics) are people in "Scot"land actually "Scottish" (Gaels). End of discussion.

This is like the third time I've seen you trying to shill this narrative here. Nobody cares about your false info or your stupid book. Go away.
