What did you think about Bitcoin when you first heard about it?
What did you think about Bitcoin when you first heard about it?
lame
I thought it was pretty cool at first but I knew it's chance at being an actual currency was ruined the second it stopped being a way to buy shit on silkroad and started being a speculative get rich quick scheme. So long as people just hoard that shit for profit and not use it like an actual currency, its always going to be an irrelevant scam.
ik it was scam from day 1.
I thought it was ebin hacker money that you could buy drugs on the internet with. Some greasy nerds I knew also mined it.
Seemed like fiat currency with more steps.
i was a moron and never looked into it. high chance i would have lost the bit coins anyways i had to house fires in the last 10 years.
That's kind of neat.
I don't really care tho
Word
It’s the equivalent of a meme stock for a non-existent company with zero assets
great idea implemented wrong. mining/minting is a mistake.
Unfortunately because I am a zoomer I relied on my seniors to tell me what's going on.
This was before I understood what was actually going on.
They told me bitcoin was being given to people who let their computers be used by hospitals for processing power.
They sold a week after they bought in.
The price was $30~
I didn't think it was good because of the way they explained it to me and neither do they.
I don't really talk to them because they are brainwashed retards. One is the stereotypical bootlicker for corporations that leans libertarian.
One time he said this
"I want to make myself as valuable to the company as possible"
literal goyim slave.
When i first heard about it, i thought it was just an elaborate ruse to get you to install a botnet. The price was measured in pennies at that time…
lol um no if its not backed by a government and a bank and all kinds a rules and laws ect your going to get scammed by who ever runs the shit coin. they can no even find the two people who created bitcoin now. they are both in hiding.
i thought it was awesome and i used a website to mine some of it. i had a bunch of bitcoins but they were worth less than a penny. i never bothered to save the wallet info. obviously i had no idea it would ever become what it did. if it had i'd be rich right now.
ok if true how do you live with your self? are you just a NPC and think o well lol.
Lul back in the day they didn't even cost a penny. You could have literally gotten them for free.
Could have bought in at $400 a coin. I thought it was a stupid meme currency for buying drugs on the dark web (which it still was at the time)
fucking hell......
Nobody “runs” Bitcoin. Its open source and has contributors from all over the world. Its a decentralized consensus mechanism where all the participants have financial incentive to not fuck it up. Educate yourself. The conversation on whether or not you should invest in it is one thing, but when people like you spout ignorant garbage while clearly having no idea what the fuck they are talking about, it makes me think retards are the only ones not buying.
Nothing; it didn't interest me.
That it was a ponzi scheme, and I was right
It was always bullshit but damn I regret not just sticking my coins on an external drive because I’d have made a fortune. It will never be a currency and will be destroyed as soon as it comes close
what ever. can you sell the fucking things for money? like if i had 20 million worth can i sell them with the click of a button and have 20 million in my bank account in 2 hours?
When you look long enough into data, data looks back into you
Yes, you absolute moron. There are publicly traded companies that do exactly that and nothing else.
>tfw rememvering those "faucets" and have a couple hdds contining btc but just dont really even care because it just seems like a hastle
>oh great just another SETI Project that does nothing
>me Jan 2009

Same as I do now. It's a money laundering scheme.
"it's so cool this exists so I can buy drugs online"
Had 0.37@$1000, sold at $7000, reinvested in land and diesel machinery with no electronics. No regrets, not a fan of being happy owning nothing.
*rubs a high powered magnet on your ledger*
I thought it was kinda neat because it was totally decentralized. Atleast thats what i got from it. I bought a little bit. And havent touched it since. So ive got this little paper wallet from like 2014 that just sits. Idgaf anymore ofcourse.
government will use it to ensure taxes are paid and prevent anyone from hiding Christians
am 27 was 14 or so
told dad to buy at 12
didn't buy
worth ~20k now lmao
When I heard about it back in 2010?
>Hah, people are falling for this obvious scam.
When I saw it reach $65,000 in 2021?
>picrel
>this is how retarded the “bitcoin is a ponzi” crowd is
I need to buy more.
I just used it as a way to buy drugs on the internet
