Might possibly have been a solar sail, but even that's speculation. If it was, it'd be unlikely to be accidental that it shot directly into the solar system, between Mercury and the Sun. Avi Loeb had an interview on Event Horizon on YT about the probability of us seeing one random rock, and it just flanking the Sun.

It accelerated faster that what would've been predicted by outgassing alone and it left no visible trail, which an icy comet would have done. It's still possible that it was just rocky and hat no hydrogen in it. There's also the idea that it has been part of a planet, but in either case, we have no way of knowing.
It might have been some oblong-shaped rock, or a solar sail, or some space trash, or an active probe. Unless more of these objects show up and/or we receive a signal, there's no way to say.
