I saw two Russian women (probably mother and daughter) at a bus stop last month. Since I only heard them speaking Russian I asked whether they from Russia or Ukraine. After they said they are Russian, I thought to ask them whether they're going to return to Russia, given all that's happening. They simply said that they've lived in Finland many years and have jobs here, so they won't be going back. I considered that a moment and finally asked them 'Well, how do you feel about all this - the war and such?' After a short awkward silence the older one answered with 'Mostly just baffled.' Of all the things they could have said, maybe horrified, upset, sad, angry, but no apparently they are just 'baffled'. I could already feel my blood boiling but then I remembered that I'm not Lithuanian and said goodbye to them and got on my bus.
