Pets and political leaning?

According to the data, it seems that conservatives have a preference for dogs. And that cat owners are more likely to be liberal. Both conservatives and liberals express a fondness for dogs, it's just that cat ownership is more common among liberals.

Is this true for you? Or are you the exception?

I'm a republican and I love cats but dogs are more practical and big and do more cool things. A cat will bolt out of the house and come back a day later, a dog will run down the street and probably come back if you call for him. That's what makes them better.

i own both

Most likely because it's easier to own a cat than a dog in cities.
Simple as.

anyone with a "le pet" without a practical purpose such as a hunting or guard dog = söyboy

I dislike dogs and cats. I prefer birds or small animals like lizards or hamsters.

Cats are more independent from their owners, maybe that makes the difference

i have both.
animals are fantastic creatures.
2 kitties i have like to sleep on me and purr, not letting me go to work and they always greet me when i come back.
love these guys.

I love cats and I'm a member of a right-wing death squad.

I like good dogs but i grew up with cats and prefer them. My grandfather had a good dog that i used to play with when i was a child, that's about the only experience i had with them outside of saying hello to random dogs here and there aside from a friend who had a shitbull that used to jump all over me and beg me to play with it.

I like to call myself a classical liberal.
Or as the liberals today like to call me - a nazi.

I like dogs, but i own cats because dogs are impractical considering my wife and I both work full time. Dogs require a lot of training and attention to not be massive pains in the fucking ass, and i simply don't have time to give that level of attention to an animal. I had a dog as a kid and it was good for teaching responsibilities, so ill probably wait until i have children that beg for one so i can use it as a teaching tool

I have a cat. Dogs are too much work, and he cleans himself. He also destroys moles and spiders. I fed him straight tuna for years. Nearly 20lbs now. He's a fucking monster.

This. City people tend to favor cats because they're city people and city people tend to be liberal. Dogs are a pain in the ass for city slickers.

I'd love a bird, but they can live up to 100 years and i don't want to leave one behind when i die. Seems unfair. Also, wing clipping is fucked up. I just build houses for wild birds. Good enough.

dogs need something to do
raising a house animal is like raising your kids to be on welfare.
at least with cats their entire domesticated purpose is to kill every small animal in the vicinity so they pull that off more frequently than the family retriever gets to go fowl hunting.

>according to the data
Okay shill.
>he actually has data
Great, it's still a less lazy "is coffee good for you."

This question was resolved time ago.

You need to raise and teach a dog, a cat is just there and is doing there on things besides food and water.
Conservative people want a family and raise children, liberals are just NPCs who need a cat for not being lonely.

IT'S EASY!
