Woman named Erin Merdy. Mental illness, history of homelessness. Was facing eviction and possibly losing custody of her kids. Got drunk and drowned her three kids by two different fathers late at night on the beach at Coney Island in New York City.
Father of one of the kids called police to ask for a welfare check and when they found the kids they were unconscious along the beach 2 miles from where the mom was found with her relatives, and all three kids died from drowning. Probably had no idea how to swim and it was dark.
