Why does the left love (((sustainable))) energy but reject nuclear power? Everyone knows wind and solar can only do so much. It's not really about being green, is it?

It's about depleting the natural resources to keep humans quarantined on this planet, nuclear can solve your energy problems, but you're wasting all the precious materials you could use to get into orbit and jumpstart asteroid mining and space colonies to keep yourselves from freezing at night because someone doesn't *want* you to have clean energy, they *want* you stuck here.

I don't like Breeeder reactor technology, the only reason breeder reactors were ever developed is because they produce the materials for weapons.
Maybe if a few billion is invested on liquid salt reactors instead of the weapons facilities that nuclear power stations currently are then we could consider it a sustainable alternative.

What's so great about nuclear? Nuclear energy is not renewable or sustainable. It creates a massive amount of deadly waste that you can't do anything with and every once in a while you get a Chernobyl/Fukushima event.

Every fuel source is "technically solar powered". The only difference is where the power was stored and when.
Solar panels aren't that efficient, but they'll get better every decade. There's only so many millions of cubic kilometers of fossil fuel in the ground, and once it's gone. Then there's no more of it.
After that it's uranium and nuclear to get closer to where the sun gets its power, or solar to convert photons to energy.
Eventually we'll figure out how to make fossil fuel directly from the sun. Just like the plants do it. Plus pressure and time.

Liquid salt reactors replace the water with molten salt, basically eliminated the risk of a meltdown ever happening beacause any breach in cooling seals itself because liquid salt freezes very fast at room temperature which will contain any breach in a situation like what happened in Japan.

The left are hacks. To be green is not to simply support green promises from government. It's to live the green life themselves. They live just as reliant on fossil energy as the rest of us. On an individual level, it's possible to live with solar panels, you just have to make some energy consumption concessions. None of them do this because they're all hypocrites who love their urban life styles too much and want others to pick up the slack for them. In their mind that is big evil capitalists and rednecks, while they order single sandwiches to be delivered by car to their door.
