Think 'crime families fighting over turf and businesses'. There are big players in the crime families and smaller players. Some are supported by crime families from outside the turf war area.

USA literally did everything possible to push them into this. Russia was saying for 10 fucking years it's unnaceptable for them for Ukraine to go into NATO, because it would break the balance and ability of mutual destruction between them and usa. If nato starts placing troops and tanks on border between ukraine and russia, russia would literally have to commit million+ men 24/7/365 on the border to prevent potential blitzkrieg from nato. With no natural obstacles, if nato suprised attack on the ground the tanks could reach moscow in matter of hours. They can hit moscow with hypersonic missile in few minutes. They'll be literally abel to wreck russian parlament or russian president during a speech or session before he manages to get the fuck out of the building. Russian demographics and economy is in shit, they can't afford to have million men on that fucking border in case we try to fuck them up. They pointed out multiple times it's not acceptable for them for ukraine to go to nato, that it's a threat to their national security and survival of country itself, yet we told them to mind their own bussiness and that we'll do what we want. We did everything we could to get them to attack, then when they did, everyone started acting dumb and saying how that was unexpected.
