No it's not true. They have to bring jugs of drinking water into the area so people have something to drink.

We put chlorine in it to help kill bacteria. I have a fish tank full of expensive fish and whenever I change my water I put it in a holding tank first for all the chemicals to evaporate before I add it to my fish tank. I thought about getting a filtration system but it's too time consuming using proper filtration and adding all those minerals back to the water.
