ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – A video has gone viral that shows an 8th grader at Bowie Middle School in Odessa attacking his teacher following a disagreement that appears to be over a cellphone.
The ECISD says the student has been arrested but the district isn’t treating this as an isolated incident. The district says student violence has been on the rise, and ECISD Superintendent Dr. Scott Muri believes he knows why.
The 8th grader who attacked his teacher, he’s now facing a felony charge of Aggravated Assault of a Public Servant.

I see nothing wrong here. You don't take private property from anyone. Plus that's the only tool a child has to call for help since banks are more guarded than schools. We want kids to defend themselves in school and the kid did just that. The sheboon, who probably has more testosterone than him by simply being Black and denser bones for the very same reason; shouldn't have touched him. Hopefully the parents pay for a lawyer because public defenders are almost as bad as representing yourself. If the parents are smart, they will go file their own police report, file another report with child protective services, and with the agency that manages teacher certification and credentials.
