Just my personal thoughts on a probable offensive not based on any knowledge about the capabilities of the Russians or Ukrainians armies in that area as of today.
I don't think Ukraine will try to take Mariupol in this one because i think the russians have invested too much materiel and propaganda on that city to give it up, and it is easily reinforced from Donetsk and by sea, but maybe later in a 5th stage (if the front melts like it did in kharkiv this past week) when they have set up proper artillery and anti-ship missiles in range.
Again this is just me playing with my thoughts

Some Ukrops that aren't russian patriots probably got US advice to go north and exploit their center position since the Russians would have to go the long way around which is a positional weakness that makes it harder to react in time.
