Actually, in terms of happenings, I think that the prospects are bleak as fuck. There is a chance that Russia will retaliate, but there's also a (much larger) possibility that they go "alright, fuck it" and just start bolstering their positions in the East.
I don't think Russia will lose any more land in the near future, but I don't think we'll regain what we just lost either. I still think that the fucking plan is to wait for winter and capitalize on the total economic collapse of Europe.
Which is... a... good plan, I have to admit. But I don't have to be fucking happy about it.
Here's the uncomfortable truth that people seem to miss. Those who care about this conflict in earnest are... all ITT. And in that god-forsaken Discord server. Regular Russian people don't care that much. Why? Because there is NO MOBILIZATION. There's a difference between a professional soldier (one who signed the contract) dying for our national interests, and our poor little conscripted, innocent Vanya dying for the same reason.
