Soon you won't need planes to travel all over Europe
Or just use a car or bus
you all take planes for a road trip that's shorter than leaving an american state?
The train is way faster
You vill stay where you're born and eat ze local bugs only
>Excess carbon emissions from airliners, trucks and cars are currently charged at 50 euros per tonne in the EU, but this could soon rise to €80 per tonne. If just 10% of that revenue is re-invested in transport it could add around 8 billion euros a year to the pot for rail upgrades.
Why are these white elephant projects always unable to fund themselves without stealing from other modes of transportation?
what kind of magical mystery energy will it use?
Sounds comfy
Trains spread viruses.
Trains still use fuel.
Train tracks take up vast quantities of land.
You won't be allowed to ride on the train if your vax status goes red.
You won't be allowed to ride on the train if your social credit score goes too low.
You already dont retard
we almost had them (transrapid) but environmentalists blocked it
Taxes, conceptually, are govt officials stealing from the public and sometimes reinvesting those funds back in to their friends businesses to build new roads and infrastructure to, hopefully, get more peasants to move there so they can steal more money via taxation.
Wut? Back in 2011 i travelled around europe by train, wtf happened?
you do if you're in a hurry
>let's fucking destroy even more towns and forests
i hate those faggots
>Sounds comf-
Pod. You vill get in ze pod. Now.
Based as fuck, can't say how much I hate airportd and airplanes. Trains are comfy
translation: our american overlords want a high speed rail system
you know what europe wants?
And you'll be unable to afford a single one of those houses
We need to protect the environment, goy
>extremely expensive rail system no one asked for and few will use
>costs you billions when you are not even allowed to heat your houses and food is becoming increasingly scarce?
Monorail!
This reminds me of that "monorail" scam episode from the Simpsons
haven't watched that show in years but it has the same scam feeling.
Hating flying I really like that idea. Will never happen in a proper way, especially here, tho. People will sue and sue and sue when they try to build that stuff close to houses or when trains pass their homes with 300+km/h...
Loved going from Paris to Bordeaux, comfy, in two fucking hours for 600km with the TGV when I was in France.
