fyi historical Greeks don't descend from those even from a simple linguistic point of view, since the Mycenaean dialect is not directly ancestral to the post Geometric period dialects but an early branch that survived only in Arcado-Cypriots
i.e it's not proto-Greek -> Mycenaean -> Doric/Ionian/Aeolic/etc..., but proto-Greek -> Mycenaean, proto-Greek -> Doric/Ionian/Aeolic/etc...
that's not to say post Geometric samples will necessarily be different, but they aren't necessarily representative for historical Greeks who probably moved in from north Greece/south Balkans once Mycenae collapsed

yep, in linguistic sense is what I meant. They still believed in Phrygian gods and worshipped hand of Sabazios before Christianity arrived. This implies culturally they were anatolian for some part. Maybe linguistically that's what happened, but not genetically. Anatolians resembled modern day Cypriots more than they resembled Greeks since bronze age up to medieval era. We have new Byzantine era genetic samples. Only some western areas had actual Greek populations. Rest of the Turkey was overwhelmingly Anatolian and some Caucasus/Middle East influences further you go to East. Modern Turkey reflects it too. Picrel is a shitty model since I use modern samples rather than ancients but it gets the job done.
