Well I know there’s also the one in the foothills of Eugene and last night a big one in Salem broke out and they haven’t yet contained it. Just praying Central Oregon stays in the clear this year we’re actually getting below freezing temps at night now I forgot to turn one of my sprinklers off and this is what I woke up to. There’s been haze here but nothing too terrible yet.

Also, they are lying about the weather to justify climate change caused fires, claiming extreme heat in Southern Oregon, temperatures in the 100s and lows in the 60s, but my accurate thermometer shows temps in the low 90s and lows in the low 40s, which are near record lows. No one here got a decent tomato crop because they can't ripen with cold nights. they get bigger and bigger, then split and/or rot. Everyone. You don't need to set it off intentionally, you just need a general lack of forest maintenance. Siberian forests get forest fires all the time despite no human involvement whatsoever. Finnish forests don't because like Trump said, we take care of our wilderness.

Yes that's true and that's another problem here. But most forest fires are human caused in one way or another out here, whether intentional or not. This year, up until a coupel of weeks ago, it was remarkably better than the last fire years because ODF and local fire have been jumping on them immediately, as they were not in the past. We had several fires put out in a couple days that in past years would have raged all summer long.
