I always laugh at the collapse is imminent crowd. It will be a slow uneventful decline where quality of life declines and things become more expensive. More black crime more public utility failures. Literally nothing drastic will happen until your average poor person starves and is motivated to do something about it. But right now the poor are the fattest most well fed.
