The UAF is conducting salients similar to those implemented by the RGF during the opening stages in the war. We all know how those turned out. As I said, the RGF is having a hard time dealing with the UAF's southern offensive. But the conditions, when looking at a macro scale, play right into their hands for an optimal defensive setting.

Whether they can withstand said punishment is still in question. But remember that a few months, a UAF general openly admitted on MSM that they have lost an upwards to ~50% of their armored assets, something critical for any offensive in the modern battlefield.

You're completely missing that the Russians who retreated left all their equipment behind, because they routed. It wasn't a withdrawal. You don't lure your enemy into a trap by letting him capture all your Grads and SPGs that you were going to use to defend yourself. This is a breakthrough and there's very little Russia can do about it at this point.
