Why do millennials question religion but not science?
Why do millennials question religion but not science?
They are programmed that way. It took 30+ years to make most of them not believe. It was a very expensive and elaborate psy op
they are close minded and dumb
just wait till they lesrn that most science was developed by people of faith and most scientists believed in God. lol
its just when youre a small kid you wanna rebel against the parents and thats when ppl become atheists, but some get stuck in this child brain ignorance for a long time
Because most of my generation has been conditioned to worship the state, and part of that worship is blindly following state sanctioned "science." I literally thank God that I know better.
>Why do millennials question religion but not science?
You're not allowed to question the first and you are suppose to question the second.
Science is a method of thinking not a belief system you morons
I can't imagine having grown up with a mother covered in tattoos, sounds fucking horrible
Because science cannot prophesy the future.
Because philosophy isn’t taught in public school.
because they were taught to have faith in science and not god, by sexual revolution boomers who "just wanted their kids to be free"
bots?
Because most religion is obviously ludicrous (talking animals, curses from apples, underwater whale rides) whereas the deceptions of le science require more effort to uncover.
memeflag thread. bump if you're a faggot
Because science is usually practiced like this:
1. Form a hypothesis on some observations.
2. Do rigorous experiments and mathematical and systematic error analysis on the experiments.
3. Publish your results with raw data and methods in detail.
4. Others reproduce the results.
5. A mathematical model is formed to predict results of changed experiments.
6. Changed experiments confirm the mathematical framework.
7. After enough reproduction of predictions in experiments,
usually at a commonly agreed threshold like six-sigma deviation,
but depending on the underlying statistics and severity of the results,
the hypothesis is considered to be a theory.
8. The theory/mathematical model holds until enough statistically and systematically valid evidence shows its limits to the experts, making extensions necessary, or more rarely, result in completely new modeling.
Because most religions, especially the abrahamic religions, have been utterly decimated by logic. There are books upon books refuting all the nonsense in the bible, quran, etc.
Also your question is dumb because science literally is learning through asking questions and making observations. But I had a minute to spare while shitting on the toilet so you were in luck today.
Digits
Not only "millennials" but people in general.
They are unthinking, unquestioning fools who only follow trends.
They are not taught any better. If they were the world would become a better place, but also those in power would lose power, and we cannot have that happen!
because science fucking works.
because there's no social pressure to belong to a religion. boomers were the last generation to really feel that social pressure. they got married young, baptized their kids and maybe sent them to religious schools all to keep their own parents happy, but didn't pressure their kids in the same way. it's part of a wider trend where the younger crowd generally has less faith in established institutions compared to their parents. Watergate was a shock for them, we grew up knowing these institutions aren't infallible.
t. zillenial who went to a lutheran private school
modern 'science' is a cult that has nothing to do with the scientific method
Because of the scientific method you blithering retard.
Trust the science. Safe and effective. Vaxes stop the spread. Tobacco is good for you.
No they haven't, literally nothing you said is true. You just made it up.
I’ve been saying this for years, science is these peoples gods and guess what, the Jews figured this out so they fund scientists to control the narrative.
lol
1. form hypothesis
2. carefully select data that agrees with hypothesis
3. write computer program to prove yourself correct
4. ridicule anybody who disagrees
the tides are shifting actually and that’s why this thread exists
>science literally is learning through asking questions and making observations
It was once upon a time,, but now it's something you are not allowed to question.
It and its rules are increasingly being used to subjugate and ostracize others.
It's become more of a dogmatic belief system itself over the last century, and especially over the last few years.
The scientific methodology may still be viable and a useful tool, but "Science™" seems to no longer have any use for that sort of thing.
"modern science" has nothing to do with real science, dont be a dummy.
yes people do believe it like a cult but much like religion fanatics you ignore them.
Science is and always will be a method of thinking. No one gets to change that and only morons dont see it that way.
Because that is their religion
