The Boomer is the is the father who pushed their green shirted son into going to college, thinking that it was the path to success as their peers who went to college did better than them. This is exactly the wrong advice for that genetic line, as the people who'd previously gone to college did so out of passion, actual need. It wasn't pure greed, but an actual desire to learn and become educated. The boomers sold their children the lie that going to college would result in a better life, presuming the better life would cover any debt. Now that it didn't work, the Boomer can't understand why their kid isn't as successful as their peers who went to college, why their children can't pay off the debt. They blame the kid for the bad decisions foisted upon them.
