They aren't Anti-Racist. They are pro-media, as in, they will repeat what their media states. Most of the groups they oppose are straight up constructs of the state or even themselves, and they walk back on policy they advocate for on a daily basis.
"Anti-Racism," could be replaced with any other path of least resistance phrase. It's like saying you are "altruistic," when it comes to foreign policy.

People like to champion causes, or uphold virtue. It's one of the ways we place ourselves and climb the social hierarchy.
Reputation is often more important than resources themselves, because at the end of the day we're social animals and it's social game that maximizes your reproductive potential.
People are indoctrinated into believing being a racist is the worst evil in the world. What would be more respectable than to oppose that evil?
It's a righteousness fantasy, and one that doesn't require much sacrifice either.
What you have to understand is that, regardless of style, tech level and societal queerness, most people still run on the same hardware. People who would've guarded the tribe from ruin in a different time, now push towards it, but in their eyes it's all the same, they're just sucking up to the collective by instinct of personal reward. If it works, what it is and if it's truly right doesn't matter, because at the end of the day simple animals have simple personal needs.

Traumatizing children:
Telling kids people literally go to hell can scar them for life. Telling them racists try to kill people over skin color can scar them for life. In both cases, even in adulthood, it can be very hard to overcome programing.
Apostates:
If someone leaves the faith and starts saying there's racial differences that more than explain different average outcomes, they can get abandoned by their childhood friends, fired, become estranged by family, all things that happen in strongly religious communities.
It lacks some elements of a religion, but I'd call leftism an ideology that's impervious to contradictory evidence.
