Why is communism not demonized like Nazism?

An ideology that has caused massacres of millions of people and spread poverty and persecution in the countries that adopt this ideology. However, there are still people who embrace communism and are not imprisoned. It is still permissible to raise communist flags in the midst of capitalist western countries. There are still universities and schools that adopt communist views. There are many Communists in the Internet are not exposed to the ban, why ?
