There is no panic. In Balakleya, there were mostly mobilized people. Now reserves are going to Balakleya. Cannon and rocket artillery work. Aviation is active. There is no talk of a deep breakthrough. The situation + - as with the Nazi counteroffensive in the Kherson direction.

What is your favorite military unit from the past? Mine is VDV
I agree with you, I don’t think it was a feint, more of a demonstration to push Ukrainians into surrender and panic. Though some argue point was to tie down Ukrainian troops there and prevent them from sending everything to Donbas and entrenching those forces there. Who knows? We’ll probably never know since Russians rarely divulge such facts and there’s still a debate going on whether Operation Mars was a feint or a failure.
So WHY do they want Europe against Russia and America against China. Is this a setup for WW3. Cos shit the war after this one will be fought with sticks and stones.
>There is no panic. In Balakleya, there were mostly mobilized people That's because that's all that's left of the mighty Russian military in Ukraine lol
Is this another telegram victory, just like Rybar's hot-air bag that they supposedly "closed" despite it getting larger every single day?

Today's Landsknechts perform as well as they did in the 16th century
You’re right in my opinion but Russians avoided the trap and opted for different tactics after their original plan failed. Their casualties are in relative terms quite low since then and they can sustain that. But in my opinion, if my hunch is right and Russians will indeed go on a major offensive soon, question is how will they fare now. They probably learned some lessons from initial troubles and now there’s few Ukrainian mobile high-quality formations able to parry their deep thrusts. We’ll see.

we dont NEED to take kherson in the kherson offensive we dont NEED to enter kherson we dont NEED to get within visual range of kherson we dont NEED to not have our human waves massacred by artillery files.catbox.moe/byfkky.mp4 we are winning on the internet, and that's what matters

A shallow wodded ravine, akin to the Russian "buerak". A word of Turkic origin, it was an allusion to Bayraktar (although "bayrak" in Turkish means flag)

At least the terrain and vegetation there offer more cover. Kherson Oblast is literally flat empty steppe.

They’ll bravely eat all Russian ammunition with their bodies
Russia bros, I'm willing to admit that yes Russia will take a massive chunk of Ukraine at the end of it all but at what human cost ? You guys are literally killing your brothers and sisters over there, what good is land if it is soaked in the blood your siblings?
>brothers and sisters Any hohol who waves a banderite flag deserves the hottest hell imaginable

did you know that when it was around 35k it was actually a count of kia+wounded for russia+seperatists? they changed it to kia for russia alone when they got btfo in severodonetsk
What does that propa slave mean by "PWERFUL ARMOURED ATTACK" werent that funny looking guys with glasses in RT said that russia has already destroyed 5xtimes the ammount the armour the Ukies had?
Lincoln Lopez
At the human cost of 10-15000 dead, of which 5-7000 are soldiers from Russia proper, rest from LNR/DNR. In exchange, they’ll get millions of new Russian citizens and shitload of resources as well as land-bridge to Crimea.

They're our blood no more. They've betrayed our history, our ancestors and our way of life. They're no different from poles now.
You can have more optimistic objectives run together with less optimistic objectives. V-guys invading from Belarus were meant to take Kiev if the Ukrainian state and Army were collapsing, and if that didn't happen convince the Ukrainian leadership that most of the Russian Army is trying to take Kiev. I would say they succeeded in the latter part, at least it fooled the Western population and media, who I remember talked about Kiev, Kiev, Kiev over and over while most of the Ukrainian coastline was being conquered by the majority of the Russian Army.
Geofuel question: How stable is the Saudi Arabia/Russia alliance?
Reason I ask, today I found out Saudi Arabia imports Russian oil to use domestically to free their crude for higher margin exports. China cut a deal with a Russia and buys crude at a $10-$20 discount. Saudi Arabia used to be China's top supplier. Things are smooth now cuz OPEC agreed to cut production 100,000 barrels a dar or 0.1 of demand due prices falling to pre-war levels because of slowing Chinese demand for oil.
China buys less oil overall but a fair chunk of the oil they buy comes from Russia at a discount and not full price from Saudi Arabia. To offset these loss in profits, Russia cuts the same deal with Saudi Arabia and sells them cheap oil so they can profit off their normal exports. Russia seems to be the loser here as they are essentially selling more of their oil at a discount. Saudi is profiting and China is saving money. Russia makes revenue but at margin loss and they are dealing with sanctions where China and Saudi are not.
How long does this Russia/Saudi alliance last? And what happens when demand increases this winter and OPEC has to increase production?
Daily reminder that Finland lost the winter war. And the continuation war.

ITT: people not understanding the point of VDV in Kiev. The first entire month was one bit scare attempt. Hence all the fast attacks, all the highly visible convoys. Russia was trying to scare Ukraine into surrendering. They didn't, so the military (very quickly) switched into slow grind mode.
